18th European Light Microscopy Initiative Meeting
University College Dublin, Ireland, 5 - 8 June 2018

Core Facility Satellite Meeting

About the Satellite Meeting

Continuing in the successful format of previous years, the elmi2018  Core Facility Satellite Meeting will feature a number of interactive sessions targeted at core facility managers, staff and other interested participants, including companies.

The goal of the satellite meeting is to exchange views, share experience, identify problems and solutions, best practices and standards.

This year’s meeting will feature sessions on “Image analysis in imaging facilities”, “Centralised computing to improve image analysis efficiency and workflows” and “Sample controls”, as well as discussions on “Teaching and courses carried out by the core facilities” and “Combining activities for (multi-) core facilities”.

Of course, social interaction is again high on the agenda, including the already traditional football match Facilities versus Companies.

This year’s meeting is organised by: Beate Neuman (EMBL, Heidelberg, Germany); Karin Aumayr (IMP, Vienna, Austria); Oliver Biehlmaier (Biozentrum, Basel, Switzerland); Aleš Benda (BIOCEV, Vestec, Czech Republic) ; Martin Spitaler (MPI for Biochemistry, Martinsried, Germany) and Sebastian Munck (VIB/KU,  Leuven, Belgium).
